Based on emulsion covering 12 m² per litre per coat, with standard door (1.9 m²) and window (1.2 m²) deductions. Textured or bare surfaces drink more paint — when in doubt, round up.
How the calculator works.
Wall area = 2 × (length + width) × height, minus a standard 1.9 m² per door and 1.2 m² per window. Ceilings add length × width when ticked. We assume quality emulsion covering 12 m² per litre per coat — the realistic mid-point for modern trade paints on sound, previously painted walls.
Real life adds nuance: fresh plaster needs a watered-down mist coat first, textured surfaces drink extra paint, and deep colour changes may need a third coat. If any of that sounds like your job, send photos on WhatsApp — we'll spec it precisely and quote it fixed.
